A reclaimed communist-era strip light has been retrofitted with dimmable LED tubes. The VEB Leuchtenbau fitting keeps its linear industrial character while updating the light source. Its long profile suits a kitchen island, studio table or bar counter.

Product Details
- Designed in 1950 and produced in the 1960/1970s by VEB Leuchtenbau Wittenberg/Paul Mrosek KG Wittenberg.
- Beautifully manufactured in glass and cast-aluminium and originally manufactured to be explosion, dust and gas proof. This light fitting was used in petrochemical plants, mines and power stations, predominantly in East Germany.
- Polished aluminium finish. The interior frame is powder-coated in grey.
Technical & Electrical
- Fitted with 2 no. bespoke dimmable T8 LED tubes in extra warm white (2200k) to reduce glare.
- Also available with non-dimmable tubes in options up to 6000k upon request.
- Can be supplied as pendants mounted on steel ‘Y’ profile wires, please see image - additional cost applies.
- Supplied fully assembled and tested to CE & BS EN 60598 standards.
- Wiring options also available for US & Canada.
